Randall S. Cole is a registered representative of American Portfolios Financial Services, Inc. (APFS) and is an IAR of American Portfolios Advisors, Inc. (APA), a SEC Registered Investment Advisor, providing comprehensive financial planning services in the areas of investments, business continuity, executive benefits and estate planning.

Randy is a cum laude graduate from Ursinus College with a B.A. in Political Science. He received a scholarship to spend his junior year at the University of St. Andrews, in St. Andrews, Scotland. His passion for his profession is partly the result of real life experience.  Due to a lack of planning for his own family, Randy was forced to withdraw from law school.

In 1976, Randy began his career with Connecticut General in the Philadelphia branch office, in the Management Trainee Program.  In 1982, he represented the investment planning perspective in the development of the financial planning software.  As a member of the Financial Planning Department in the Company’s corporate headquarters, he was appointed to the corporate officer positions of Assistant Director and Director.  Randy is recognized as the “Father of Dominant Benefit Theory,” a concept used to assist clients in developing their portfolio strategy.  After serving as a supervisor in two regional offices, he returned to serving clients directly in 1990.  He has been a speaker at many company and community symposiums.  He is the co-founder of CoActive Wealth Strategists, LLC.  (CoActive Wealth Strategists, LLC is not affiliated with APFS and APA).

Randy attained the professional designations and certifications of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) and Certified Financial PlannerTM (CFP®). He served as a member of the Content and Technique Committee, which developed the Financial Planning course offered by the Life Underwriters Training Council (LUTC).  Randy has consistently fulfilled the requirements and maintained his status as a Charter Member of PACE (Professional Achievement in Continuing Education) sponsored by the American College and the Society of Financial Planning Professionals.

Randy is a Past President of the South Jersey Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals and served on the Board of Directors.  He is currently a member of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals and the Reading Chapter of NAIFA.
